KTM 390 SMC, Adventure and Enduro (2025) recall: side stand could drop while riding
On December 23, 2025, Transport Canada published a recall notice for the following motorcycles. If you own one of these models, here is what you need to know.
Affected models
- KTM 390 SMC: 2025
- KTM 390 Adventure: 2025
- KTM 390 Enduro: 2025
The issue
On certain motorcycles, the side stand spring could break. If this happens, the side stand could fall or open suddenly while riding and cause the engine to stall.
Safety risk
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
KTM will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to install a new side stand spring and sensor plate.
To find out whether your motorcycle is affected, contact a KTM dealer with your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy.
