The issue

On a small number of motorcycles, the motor controller may not have been assembled properly. As a result, there could be a power surge in the controller. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the rear wheel.

Safety risk

A loss of power to the rear wheel could increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the motor controller.

To find out whether your motorcycle is affected, contact a Zero dealer with your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy.
