Suzuki DR-Z400S (2025-2026) recall: possible rear brake fluid leak
On December 12, 2025, Transport Canada published a recall notice for the following motorcycle. If you own this model, here is what you need to know.
Affected models
- Suzuki DR-Z400S: 2025, 2026
The issue
On certain motorcycles, the rear brake reservoir cap screws may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the screws could loosen and cause brake fluid to leak from the rear brake master cylinder reservoir. This could cause reduced braking.
Safety risk
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Suzuki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to tighten the rear brake reservoir cap screws.
To find out whether your motorcycle is affected, contact a Suzuki dealer with your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy.
